Time of Cruise Ship Death

Time of Death Unknown

Ron McClelland boarded a listener's cruise along with other listeners of Christian radio WCRJ 88.1, The Promise and only half hour before the ship was to arrive back to the Port Of Jacksonville, Florida, McClelland fell to the ground, and could not be revived.

McClelland was a bassist for Christian Rock band Storyside: B. He was frequently a guest on the radio show and since December had been co-hosting the WCRJ in Jacksonville morning show with Theresa Ross.

Passengers aboard the Carnival Cruise Lines Fascination said that McClelland was playing basketball when he suddenly collapsed on Sunday, January 18, 2009.

McClelland was not on the cruise to perform and no other band members were with him. However, McClelland was married to a woman named Rebecca and she was on the cruise with him.

Christian musician Anthony Berger also died aboard a cruise, February 22, 2006 while on the Holland America Line Noordam.
