Jeon Pierre Knorr, 74, and his wife both from France were on a 7-night Caribbean cruise aboard MSC Cruises's MSC Divina on Monday January 2, 2017 when he went missing at sea.

Knorr's wife said he was last seen around 0300 hours on their cruise ship cabin balcony while MSC Divina was north of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

The United States Coast Guard was notified after the crew searched the ship and Korr could not be located. Coast Guard Sector San Juan launched an MH-65 helicopter from Air Station Borinquen to start the search and a helipcoter from Air Station Clearwater and fast response cutter Donald Horsley assissted in the search.

MSC Divina embarked on a Caribbean cruise from Miami, Florida on Friday, December 30, 2016. The cruise arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico later after Knorr went overboard. MSC Divina then calls at Grand Turk and Nassau before returning to Miami on Friday, January 6.
