Troy Len Parker, 41, was on Caribbean cruise with his partner of 19 years, Randy A. Dove aboard Carnival Cruise Lines’ Carnival Conqest on November 28, 2007 when he passed away.

Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Parker graduated from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School in Orange, Texas. He moved to Galveston, Texas to attend college at College of the Mainland where he continued excelling at tennis and enjoying drama.

In 1985, Parker moved to Houston where he continued his studies intermittently while searching for a career which would fulfill his passions and provide intellectual challenges. After seven unsuccessful attempts, his perseverance finally rewarded him in 1990 with a career at Continental Airlines where he instantly fell in love with the business and the travel benefits, which he eagerly and generously shared with his family and friends. One of his greatest joys was providing his parents with flight benefits which introduced them to a new world. His passion for traveling was only surpassed by his passion for food. Troy graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Computer Science and minor in Mathematics in May, 2006.

Reports say the cause of death was Cardiac Respiratory Arrest.
