Darrin Joseph San Fillippo, 44, from Hillsborough, New Jersey died while cruising with his family aboard Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Miracle on Saturday, June 27, 2009 near San Juan, Puerto Rico.

He was found unconscious on the floor inside his cabin.

Born in Newark, Mr. SanFillippo resided in East Brunswick and Monmouth Junction before moving to Hillsborough 14 years prior. A graduate of Rutgers University, he earned his MBA in finance at St. John’s University.

Mr. SanFillippo was a portfolio manager for over 20 years with Blackrock Investments (formerly Merrill Lynch) in Plainsboro.

Surviving are his spouse Kimberly Fisher SanFillippo; his four children, Tyler, Ryan, James and Kaitlyn, all at home, and his parents, Joseph and Jean Rella SanFillippo of East Brunswick.
