Katherine Kennedy, 64, from Midlothian, Virginia, was sailing aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines’ Enchantment Of The Seas which had embarked from Baltimore, Maryland. On March 24, 2013 approximately 50 miles southeast of Cape Lookout, North Carolina, the Bridge received an emergency call from a passenger requesting assistance in cabin #710. The duty nurse arrived to find Katherine Kennedy unresponsive.
Medical staff administered first aid and CPR but Katherine Kennedy was pronounced dead approximately 90 min after response. Enchantment Of The Seas security sealed stateroom with Katherine Kennedy,’s body inside and contacted the FBI. Upon docking at Baltimore, Maryland on March 25, 2013, the FBI and Medical Examiner boarded Enchantment Of The Seas.
FBI deemed incident not to be criminal in nature. The medical examiner ruled the cause of death to be natural causes.
Katherine Kennedy loved performing as the “Wicked Witch of the West,” “Mary Poppins” and as an End Man in Holy Cross minstrel shows. Katherine Kennedy liked live musical entertainment, especially when she visited Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
She loved to travel anywhere and visited many places all over the world with her husband Craig. Her favorite vacation was floating on the ocean on a cruise ship.
