Marsha Boekeloo, 56, from New Mexico, was a Carnival Cruise Line passenger sailing with her husband, who died during a cruise ship excursion, after falling from a zip line at EcoQuest Tours in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Thursday, October 15, 2015.

Police said Boekeloo fell 20 feet from the line at the Hacienda Campo Rico just east of the capital of San Juan. Her husband witnessed her death as she fell from the zip line.

Local police said the company waited several days to report the fatal accident.

At the time of the incident, EcoQuest was the “best group of Caribbean tourism, ” according to Carnival Cruise Lines . Also, they had the sponsorship of Disney Cruise Lines and, for about six years, had been recognized by Trip Advisor service excellence.

Boekeloo worked at the Maurice’s clothing store in Rio Rancho. She was originally from Michigan.
