David Greene, 62 from Glen Burnie, Maryland was a notable cruise industry cruise director who died on Saturday, December 30, 2017.
David secured a job with Seabourn Cruise Lines as a production vocalist on the PSL (see video below) (Pride, Spirit and Legend) fleet. At Seabourn, David progressed from the position of vocalist to Assistant Cruise Director to Cruise Director and was often seen aboard Seabourn Pride. He worked for Seabourn for more than twenty years before the discovery of his illness in February 2017.

During the summer months while a student at Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music located in Winchester, Virginia, David worked as a performer at Opry Land in Nashville, Tennessee and Kings Dominion, Virginia. Upon earning his B.S. degree in Music education, David began teaching elementary age school children in Virginia. After teaching for a year, he discovered that show business was his true calling and more fulfilling for him. He gave up elementary education and pursued a full-time career in entertainment.
