Joseph C. Falco Cruise Industry Notable Death Costa Cruises – Joseph C. Falco, age 52, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Joe was a man loved by many and who loved deeply. His infectious smile and integrity left a legacy of friendships across the globe.
His first job was at Coopers & Lybrand and he eventually landed at Costa Cruises in Miami where he worked for 16 years. Joe rose in the ranks to Vice President of Sales Development and was instrumental in the company’s successful worldwide cruise business.
The son of Michael and Sofia Falco who had immigrated from Argentina, Joe was born in Amsterdam, New York. During his high school years, he moved to South Florida with the entire family and ultimately attended Barry University where he earned an undergraduate degree summa cum laude in finance and accounting. He then earned his MBA from Florida International University which he would apply to a diverse and rich career.
Falco met Miamian Christy DuBois in 1993. They married in 1995 and began their married life together in Miami where their two daughters were born and where they made lifelong friendships.
Joe’s career led them to Ft. Myers, Florida, to Chattanooga, Tennessee and finally to Denver, Colorado. In each city, Joe made his mark as a financial wizard in the role of CFO in the real estate, senior living facilities and investment industries.
Falco was a man of strong political beliefs and was honored to serve in the Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential campaign in Jefferson County, Colorado.
