Alicia Ann DarlingAlicia Ann Darling Performer Carnival Horizon Suicide Death – On Saturday, January 5, 2019, Alicia Ann Darling, 29,  from Kingston, Ontario Canada was a Carnival Cruise Line staff member performer aboard Carnival Horizon when she died, reportedly from suicide. (see video on our blog)

Alicia Ann Darling was married to Carnival Horizon Entertainment Director Dermot Doyle from Sydney Australia less than a year ago,  on Monday, May 28, 2018.

“Alicia was the brightest star in our lives. A passionate performer, she delighted international audiences as a professional dancer and singer who lit up the room with her laughter and brilliant smile. Alicia was intelligent, kind, driven and disciplined. She held her friendships in the highest regard, guarding and protecting those she loved with fierce loyalty.”

Playlist production team members disembarked from Carnival Horizon on January 6, when the ship arrived in its home port Miami, Florida, taking some time off after the loss of their friend.

Alicia danced with The Dance Company in 2003/2004.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Dermot Doyle of Sydney Australia; her parents, Lidia Darling and Michael Darling; her grandmother Jessica Ilcszyszyn of Calgary; her brother Robert (Corrine) of Kingston.

Funeral service was held on January 15, 2019, 12:30 p.m. at James Reid Funeral Home 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, Ontario Canada.

There is a Cruise Bruise Bog post with video on this case, which appears to contradict the deliberate suicide theory,
