Lisa Ann Bissell Notable Cruise Industry Death – Lisa Ann Bissell, age 56, from Bayfield, Wisconsin died on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from cancer. Lisa had been battling cancer and fought courageously for 2 years.
Lisa lived in Racine, Wisconsin for her younger years but returned to Bayfield, Wisconsin and graduated from Bayfield High School in 1982. Lisa attended Luther College after high school. She followed her heart home back to Bayfield shortly after the birth of her first child, a daughter, Ashly in 1983.
Lisa, a go-getter, and determined to build a strong family foundation, found a career as the manager of the Apostle Islands Cruise Service (see video below)and later gave birth to three more daughters, Lynna, Jessie, and Taylor.
Lisa was a proud part-owner of the Green Bay Packers and was an avid fan. Those who knew Lisa would describe her as kind, thoughtful, motivated, independent, and smart, “quick on the fly,” and eager to use her “Judge Judy” knowledge if she didn’t agree with you.
Lisa is survived by her mother Donna Peterson, four daughters Ashly (John Matera) Gurnoe, Lynna (Nathan) Martin, Jessie (Lance) Bresette and Taylor (Wade Hanson) Gurnoe, three siblings; Brenda Walhovd, Debbie (Tom) Gary and Robert (Stephanie) Bissell, four grandchildren, Quintin, Autumn, Jaxin, and Kashtin.
