Elsa Wilk Royal Princess Passenger Alaska Floatplane Death – Elsa Wilk, 37,  was a Princess Cruises passenger aboard cruise ship Royal Princess who took a floatplane excursion which crashed near Ketchikan, Alaska on Monday, May 13, 2019.

Wilks was from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada; she was an accomplished taekwondo martial artist.

Wilk who was originally from Pretoria, South Africa, moved to Canada with her then-husband Ian Brink in 2008. She was later married to Ryan Wilk, 39, a cybersecurity expert from Utah. The couple were planning to move into their new home in a Salt Lake City suburb.

The Wilks built their lives in the Vancouver area, and Elsa quickly became dedicated to her work in the city’s vibrant tech industry. She worked in multiple marketing and strategy roles. Her LinkedIn profile shows her most recent role was as the Marketing Director at CryptoKitties, a Vancouver-based blockchain game associated with local tech innovation studio Axiom Zen Inc.
