Marvin GaleroMarvin Galero Crew Accidental Overboard Vision of the Seas – On Thursday, September 5, 2019, at about 11:30 a.m, Marvin Galero, 26,  who worked as a crew member aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Line ship Vision of the Seas fell 30-feet overboard while washing windows on the top deck as the cruise ship was docked in Livorno, Italy.

Marvin Galero had been a crew member for three years. He was reportedly was the third of 9 siblings, married with a 3-year-old child.

Rescue divers of the Vigili del Fuoco di Livorno (Livorno Fire Brigade) immediately arrived after receiving a call from the commander in the control room of the ship. After more than 2 hours of search and rescue operations, Galero’s remains were found underwater at a depth of 13 meters.

According to the local Livorno newspaper, an autopsy on Galero’s remains has begun. Four people including the captain of the ship will also be investigated in a possible manslaughter case.
