Cruise ship passenger Mary Alice (Reichert) Henry, 54, from Boyertown, Pennsylvania was sailing aboard Carnival Cruise Lines' Carnival Valor on November 17, 2009 with her husband of 34 years, Walter T. Henry Jr, when she passed away while Carnival Valor was in Costa Maya, Mexico.

While the vessel was docked in port of Costa Maya, Mexico, Mary Henry went on an snorkeling excursion where she encountered breathing difficulties.

Ms Henry was then brought back to the vessel alive. After medical treatment was provided by vessel's physician, she was pronounced dead by the ship' s physician. Cause of death was listed as pre-existing condition (Myocardial Infarction to Cardiomyopathy).
