Time of Cruise Ship Death Garth O'Donnell

Garth O'Donnell, 73, was found at the bottom of a flight of stairs while sailing aboard Fred Olsen Cruises' Aurora. Mr. O'Donnell was bleeding from his ears and nose due to a head injury he sustained during the fall on Christmas Day, December 25, 2013 while Aurora was sailing off the coast of France.

O'Donnell had embarked on Fred Olsen's Aurora on December 21 at the port of Southampton in England which called in Lisbon, Portugal on December 24, before sailing towards the Canary Islands.

Aurora was scheduled to call in the Canary Islands on December 27, 28, 29 and 30 before returning to Portugal on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2013. Then, sailing back to Southampton to end a 14-day end of the year holiday cruise.

Garth O'Donnell died at Hôpital de la Cavale Blanche in France with the cause of death labeled as subdural and subarachnoid hemorrhage from the fractured skull.
