Time of Death is unknown
In the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, Seth Asa Younes, 18, from Sarasota, New York was found dead in his cabin bed the last night of the cruise aboard Carnival Cruise Lines' Carnival Miracle while sailing on a 8-day Bahamas cruise.
The medical examiner report stated Seth Younes died from "acute alcohol intoxication". Carnival Cruise Lines said that Carnival Miracle personnel did not serve Younes any alcohol. Reports say Seth Younes had spent a night of heavy drinking away from his parents, who had been with him aboard Carnival Miracle.
Carnival Miracle left Freeport in the Bahamas at around 1530 hours on Saturday, February 23, 2013. The ship was at sea, due to disembark passengers in New York City on Tuesday February 26 at 0800 hours after two days at sea.
Seth Younes was on winter break from Saratoga Springs High School, from which he was set to graduate the same spring.
FBI have confirmed that they are investigating the tragic death to determine whether a crime was committed and if so, by whom.
